Help me out with this one...

Just fitted my new Campag Zondas. Fully prepared to use 2 spacers for my 10sp Tiagra cassette on 11sp Zonda hub as per http://www.slowtwitch.com/Tech/Cassette_How-To_-_Part_2_3257.html

However, turns out there is no spacer on my old 9/10sp wheel, leaving only the single spacer that came with the Zondas.

Went ahead and fitted it up with just the single spacer and presto no apparent play in cassette so all seems good. I don't know if play will develop after I've put miles on it though...

What's going on? I'm confused.

Only one spacer is required if its 1.83mm

I thought that was for a 9sp cassette? The narrower 10sp supposedly needs at 1.83mm + 1mm to make up the diff.

Sorry treacle looks like you are correct, done some more reading and it seems that the Tiagra 10sp, unlike all the other 10sp offerings does not use the 1mm spacer.

Sodding Shimano.
