Struggling to get a replacement bolt for my rear frame linkage.

M6 Button head, 30mm long.

Usual major suppliers don't stock them ?.?

Ta, just been browsing screwfix. Was not gonna risk a steel one. Would prefer a similar one to the original alloy.

The one I am replacing had sheared within a link. Just tapped it out with a cold chisel today then cleaned the thread with a tap. It was a replacement too. So the original one on the other side is still fine.

For Stainless I use Stig's Fastners

Excellent service and you can chat to them if you have any queries.

Is it really an aluminium alloy M6 bolt in a suspension linkage? I've got some 7075 Al or Gr5 Ti M6 socket caps here if that's any use, or stainless button head.

For alloy (and you can choose your colour) Pro Bolt

Before you go screwing stainless into aluminium , look at how well stainless and aluminium react.

Zinc and aluminium much closer on the galvanic series - as in pretty much next to each other in the anodic where as stainless are all pretty much at the opposite end of the scale in the noble side.

They will react like hell when wet and the alu will lose.
