I've been looking at OneUp dropper posts. I see that Leisure Lakes are selling a V2.1 version and just about everywhere else sells a V2. Is there a difference?
Thought the 2.1 was a Santa Cruz mod due to their seat tube config, 2.0 is the mass market one, either way you can swap out if required at a later date as they sell it separately as well
0.1 I reckon.
Think new you can only get the 2.1 and the new v3, which incorporates the same actuator as the v2.1.
I have the v2.0, but it's about 3 years old, and went through the 'is v2.1 newer', only to find out it was the same, but different due to santa cruz and their bloody weird suspension design 😂

I'd thank Santa Cruz for that. If I remember correctly the V2 actuator worked by fixing the inner cable and moving the outer which was always a bit iffy but especially problematic on certain bikes. V2.1 fixed the outer and moved the inner in a far more conventional manner and we all benefited as a result.
Anyone using a v3 in anger yet? Seen them fitted to bikes (new), but was wondering if anyone was out there putting the miles in on one yet?
It reads well ... https://www.pinkbike.com/news/oneup-announces-new-v3-dropper-post-2024.html
I haven't got one, but interesting to read at the end of the article that they're providing better components for the V2, too.
New upgrades available for V2:
- New V2.1 Collar with SKF Seal upgrade for V2 droppers coming soon
- Ti Bolt upgrade kit is compatible with V2 and is available now for $14.99 USD
- All V2 replacement parts will be available for at least another 5 years
OneUp has supported me really well with my V2, even sending me parts that aren't available for sale separately.
