I've had a 180mm Oneup dropper for nearly three years I think.
It's had a replacement cartridge under warranty and it's had a new top collar because it wore out and wouldn't stay put (ie - when the dropper goes up it takes the collar with it).

Now the second top seal has worn out pretty quickly I think ... has anyone else had this happen? It's regularly cleaned and serviced, but it does get filthy.

Is it worth getting a third top seal or should I try and track down a second hand outer tube to see if it's any better?

Not exactly answering your question, but I find I go through the top bushes reasonably quickly, everything else seems good, and a quick and easy swap and its working perfectly again, I find it annoying that you have to buy the full kit so if anyone knows of a way to 'bulk' buy just the top bush I would be keen for half a dozen or so....

When you say you are going through the top bushes, what do you mean exactly?

The white bit under the top collar.

I've not been that impressed by my one up. It's seen this summer's use and last summer because it's on my 'dry season' FS.

It needs quite regular servicing and runs out of great often, the to collar unwinds itself relentlessly and the anodising has scored at the front.

By contrast, the Brand X Ascend I have on my wet season HT is three wet seasons old, only needs one service a year and is only just starting to wear through the ano.

I find this kinda weird, because both, alongside the PNW loam all come from the same pattern part with a couple of modifications.

Similar to me then. The top cap on the brand x actually gets stuck in place!

Temporary fix on the oneup is to tape it down.
