Has anyone else from either the Isle of Man or Chsnnel Isles been able to successfully order anything from the OneUp UK website?
It seems that I’m no longer able to because apparently the e-commerce platform that they use doesn’t recognise the Isle of Man as part of the UK (which, of course, we’re not) nor as part of the British Isles (which we are).
Their advice was that “I should order from the International site”.....
Yes, of course and pay postage, import duty and VAT - I think not.
I suggested that they should maybe fix this issue and asked them if they were even aware of where the Isle of Man is and, if they are, how ludicrous it would be for me to order from the International site....
They haven’t replied to that however.
Can you just order from someone else selling OneUp parts? It can end up cheaper if you shop around and save the hassle.
I can, I suppose but it just annoys me that companies that I’ve dealt with many times in the past just make it impossible for me to do so now - and besides, there are several items that are next to impossible to get unless you buy direct.
Shopify is their platform I think.
Thanks for that, Robz...
Yes, it probably is Shopify - same as Bike Tart, with who I had the same problem but at least they got back to me and told me that they’d “manually over-ridden” it so that I could order - and sent me a money off voucher too.
I’m in Channel Islands, used to order through international shop which was fulfilled from the UK, they’ve closed their UK warehouse now and so everything comes from the US, and billed in $ (was £) - don’t shop direct anymore, especially now that Merlin sell OneUp.
Strange - if that’s the case (there being no UK site now) why didn’t they just tell me that instead of all this “Isle of Man not being recognised” stuff? Weird...

Are you sure? Their website still says shipped from the UK and my latest order arrived yesterday and appears to have come from the UK. (I’m in SE England not offshore)
It's a shopify set up issue. We had it too. A simple fix for us but bigger companies may just revert to 'the computer says no'
Here is the part of the email they sent me:
“We used to use a fulfillment warehouse but have since moved all international orders to shipping out of our headquarters in British Columbia. ”
