I have just been fitting the above on a shimano SLX cassette on Hope Pro 2 Evo hubs. I cut the cassette pins to fit the 16T sprocket.
When I rebuilt the cassette the lock ring threads wouldn't engage. I tried again this time with the supplied washer to sit behind the 40T sprocket removed. All fitted together nicely and changes just fine across the full range.
Just wondering if anyone else has done it this way, will it cause a long term problem and will I die?
