Hi guys, I'm really liking the sly hidden idea and less to carry in a pack or on show on the frame so I think this is the tool I'm going for, however I can't find anywhere that has the tap kit in stock. I don't suppose anyone around the South Birmingham or Worcestershire area has one I could borrow when the time comes? Would be massively appreciated and beer tokens would be provided.

On a side note, any real world feedback on the EDC would be great!

Thanks in advance

Someone will pop along shortly to offer the tool. However of you’d rather not tap the steerer then the Bontrager BITS steerer tool looks very good

I have one, have taped the steerers on three bikes, swap the tool depending on what I'm riding. It's really handy, quality is good, the tyre plug attachment has come in handy more than once, and I have nothing bad to say about it at all.

I have an EDC in one of the OneUp pumps mounted to the frame, if you don't want to tap the steerer and/or no-one pops up offering one for loan 🙂

Have a couple of the tools and the tapping kit. (South Yorkshire). Every intention of fitting one to whatever bike comes next (if it has an alu steerer).

oohhh I always forget about the EDC pump solution. That would make more sense to me as I can’t have anything in the steerer for the Gravel bike (or the road if I wanted to mount one there too). Also helps that pump + tool is barely more money than the Bontrager tool

I have no issue with tapping the steerer tube. I may just take you up on that @singlespeedstu as I'm only down the road from Stourbridge myself. Cheers!

Can hire on ebay for about £13 i think.

I bought one with pump, thinking it would be good to use for the road bike too in my jersey, but the its a massive lump and would make my jersey sag too much in your pocket so I sent it back.

Bought a wolf tooth encase that is a beautiful little thing that fits inside an old puncture repair kit box with quick link and stabber. Can also get bar end mounts.
