Newly fitted today, still in the repair stand... got it shifting up ok but it's not wanting to drop off of the 42 unless I down shift twice..

Set up Is 30t N/W, Sram PG1030. Cassette. I originally had a 33/ 22 front and haven't changed the length of chain..

Has anyone had similar issues?

Have you wanged the B-screw in so the mech is nicely clear of the new ring?

What mech and frame?

Ditto b-tension advice tho.

And if you only lost 3t at the front but gained 6(?) at the back, got enough chain on there?

Well how clear does it have to be? I've tried the recommended 6 -8mm and then thought I'd try more clearance t see if it helps but it puts too much tension on the chain.
