ive got one bonty mud x for my 29er, shld i bother taking a ardent off for the winter and putting this on ? riding local rooty lightly rocky just near peak...
if replace, which end, front or rear ? and finally, would the bonty roll better or worse on tarmac than the Ardent ?
thanks for advice
I'd replace the rear, as this is likely where you've got the worse mud clearance.
you mention tarmac, rocks and roots but not mud
I don't find mud-x very grippy on wet roots (not much rock round here) so might keep it for the back if I needed it for occasional mud traction riding your trails
course, if the front slides out all the time on mud you may have to rethink
aye.. its pretty muddy round my local loops in winter.. not horrific.. Ardent 26's I find terrible in the wet... so had that in mind.
