does it still shrink faster than a polar bears scrotum?

Nope. It's brilliant... I recently bought one of their zippy tops for silly money.

Had no problems with shrinkage (though I do wash at 30 degrees), but it's worn out faster than other merino - to be fair the top I have is very thin, so not entirely unexpected that it's not that durable.

I'll vouch for those cardies, had one for a couple of years and they're ace. In fact they're so good that at that price I'm probably going to go all in and buy another one 🙂

What's the sizing like? I'm a 38 chest. Is the sizing chart pretty accurate?

Got one of the zip up 'jackets' last week for £30 (RRP £120). Pretty warm, heavy weight fabric and seems well made. Seams in the arms are a bit uncomfortable but hopefully will soften after a few washes. I thought Merino wasn't meant to smell too bad after use? Been on one (moderately sweaty) ride in it and it smells like an old sheep!

I'm a 40" chest and went for a large long sleeve, it does have slightly more room than I'd prefer but I'd rather have a bit of winter/less exercise/more beer growing space.

You ought to be fine with a medium if they state 38 falls within medium size.

I wash them at 40 degrees on a short wash and shake them before hanging out and they don't seem to shrink.
Pretty good value for £, after a few months they lose some of their softness but I find the same with more premium merino brands.
Aldi are also selling some merino stuff from Thursday may be worth a look.

Then I'd ask if its pure merino? I have four different icebreakers of different thicknesses and none have ever smelt.

My Icebreaker smells of sheep when wet. Partly why I've started using bamboo base layers.

Yes, I am in denial about my thick curly white hair.....

Yes. I'm about 5-6kg lighter, I've got an L and fits a treat.

I ordered the orange one. It came yesterday and I haven't even taken it out of the packaging. It doesn't look like the same merino as my icebreakers. Its got a bigger, thicker weave and doesn't look 'right'. Its going back. £22 or not. (and its hideous).
