I am unsure which size I need for the 2013 on-one whippet ? I' m 5.10". With the following stats:

Xc. All mountain.

Standover Height Range 29.5 - 30.1 inches 29.5 - 30.1 inches
Virtual Top Tube Length 23.9 - 24.3 inches 23.4 - 23.8 inches
Stem Length 9.8 - 11.4 cm 7.3 - 9.7 cm
BB-Saddle Position 70.2 - 71.7cm 65.7 - 71.7 cm
Saddle-Handlebar. 54.2 - 55.8 cm 52.3 - 54.1 cm

I prefer a smaller frame but can't visit the shop to check if the 16" frame will fit. Anyone got any experience of these bikes/frame.? Cheers

Has no one got any opinions ? I have already ordered the 18" frame but am now thinking the 16 would be more suitable?. Any help would be appreciated

A mate has one in 18 and is 5"10, he likes it. It is not the sort of bike to buy a small one for a play bike. Its for riding fast so small won't help.

Uwe-r. How do you mean it's not the sort of bike for a play bike. I don't really know much about mountain biking. I just want a bike I can use off road in the hills etc and also a little on the road ? Have I made a mistake ?

I'm 5'10" and I've got an 18" with a 60mm stem. Fits perfectly.

Zappa, I dont own one so can't help you but my understanding is the whippet is an xc / race bike built around a 100mm fork and to be light / fast. Tgey do the 456 which is more all round riding, it is often built on a 140mm fork and with thougher components for what folk on here call grrrr.

Google it all, enough discussion on the web on these issues to bore you to tears.

its quite racy, i've just built mine up tonight
For road/easy off road trails its probably ideal, if you are wanting to ride some more hardcore trails the likes of the 456 better.
