Ordered this frame and now wondering how to build it?

Wanting 2 front chainrings.
Back into mtb after a few years absence so 10 speed is new to me!
Have 9 speed cassettes rear derailleurs and chains kicking about but all front chainsets seem to be 2x10
Not sure on front mech required and the 92 bottom bracket confusing me even more!
Any advice welcome as are suggestions of where to buy!

XT 2x10 - about £113 from Rose Bikes. Will work with 9 speed rear set up.

Front mech - you need direct mount, get the shimano 2x10 front so it fits the chainrings properly.

Sell the BB that comes with it.

Not sure which you need but get a nice aluminium one - search on here for suggestions in the many press fit BB threads.

Going 1x10 on mine.

Just can't decide whether to stick with shimano (clutched) XT or go down the SRAM X0 gripshift route.

SLX rings are too small for a bike like the whippet.

9 speed chain if using 9 speed cassette. I'd consider going 10 speed if you are buying new shifters anyway and get an SLX clutch RD, SLX cassette and XT shifters. If you want to go 10 speed later on you will need new shifters.

I would recommend the KCNC press fit bottom bracket. My wife has been running one on her Whippet for about a year, paired up with a XT 2x10 crankset. During that time the bike has been pressured washed numerous times, and ridden in all sorts of conditions and it is still going strong. The one before was the cheap one On-One sell and it lasted a few months before failing.
