The marketing email refers to it as
“ The Powerhouse Downhill eMTB”
downhill ebike? And it a hardtail?
Never heard of the engine manufacturer? But not in the e market do might just be my own ignorance.
Looks a bit like a bad copy of a 90’s orange missile, but appreciate that’s the norm. Not sure I’d fancy those forks to cope with the bike weight given its being marketed as a downhill bike. All a bit odd, and I say that as someone who quite likes some of their stuff
Silliest name yet ?
Sounds like a name Alan Partridge would come up with
Unknown motor brand to me but it does have DIB technology. Yeah, me neither
I'd buy it just for the name. maybe.
THis one looks more interesting though - £1500 for a ebike commuter

Think the name is OK, sounds a bit like an early cold war U.S. jet fighter-bomber. Looks horrible though.
I started reading the email and immediately checked the date. Still march so assume just a daft name.
Looks like a laugh, but the idea of a heavy aggro e-hardtail sounds like a money making scheme for rear wheel makers and chiropractors.
I'll be following the reviews closely though for when they start doing an e-freeranger or e-rujo

Hadn't seen that, if it had drop bars I'd be all over it. Looks good that, would prefer mid motor for wheel swaps, but I think cheap mid motors don't exist.
Thunderbastard would have been much betterererer

They're hugely overbuilt, like a stiffer Lyrik, damping is basic but adequate. They can pack down a bit like old RS forks were prone to doing, but you have to be really hammering along pretty rough trails to notice.
I've had them on my Scandal and while they're perennially in the firing line to be replaced by some bargain Fox 34's if they crop up, they're not enough to want to pay ~£500 for something incrementally better. I'd not buy them for £400+ they seem to be in shops, but for OEM it's a decent fork.
Thunderbastard
You've seen @Tazzymtb 's tyre choice for the next Stooge prototype?
Naming it Thunderc**t is a missed opportunity imho
The Envoy looks interesting if you're after an E-commuter.
Interesting that PX are piling into the eeeb market (slightly after the horse has bolted perhaps?) obviously it's a key thing for them to get into.
the name is not really a problem, this is the company that gave us stuff like the Gimp, Kaffenback and Pompetamine back in the day.
"Thunderhound" just sounds like a failed landspeed record project.
The Mass Transit is an interesting bike too and ticks a lot of boxes however the bolt on load carrying rack puts me off. If it had been integrated and come with hub gears then I might have been almost tempted to go against my PX / OO embargo.

Oh and its good to see someone using different motors, it helps avoid the monopoly that we seem to be getting into though I would worry that the backup might be a bit vague.
From the picture it doesn’t look like the geometry is very downhill to me. It’s looks like an entry level HT from about 10 years ago with a motor bolted on.

completely fair, I’ll take that back.
Still think the whole thing is a bit odd. price and spec seem off, as does the intended use / marketing. No doubt a heavy discount to that rrp is incoming which may make it more appealing.
Wonder if they’re using AI to design & name their bikes now?
Probably using the tried and tested Monkey Dust method of a trip to the hospital for the criminally insane.
Ugly hardtail mtb ebike. Er...... I'm out!
Don’t they have a bike called “Hello Dave”?
It came about from "your my bike now" when sick did their thing.
I used to like the on one names, they used to have meaning behind them. Like pompino and inbred.
Thunder hound is just lazy marketing BS with no thought or effort.
Just wait till it's £800 in a sale and we will all be committing in them! 😂
Chunderhound seems a more apt description.
