I would think that to release them along with the new carbon 456 evo would be a smart move. I have read it's something they are working on at some point.

Because they make no sense on a hardtail really?
But I completely see the point if you are swapping wheels.
We will be doing some in next few months.

OK, good to see they will be coming along, I think they make sense on hardtails especially for 29ers. But it was more down to wheel interoperability that is my main concern.
