Gonna buy this if it's suitable:

Along with a KMC X10 10 Speed Chain, this should be OK, yeah?

To go on a 104pcd crankset. I've currently got 3 chainrings, do I just put the new ring where the granny is currently?

I'm currently using one of those on my 1x10 Lurcher, works just fine 🙂

With a KMC 10 speed chain also.

You replace your middle ring with this one, not granny.

You'll need short chainring bolts like these:-

http://www.hubjub.co.uk/store/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_category_id=2&virtuemart_product_id=78

As your existing bolts would join outer ring, spider and middle ring; without the outer ring then they're too long.

As above - I'm running same ring, chain and hubjub bolts and it all works perfect.

Don't forget you'll need a chain guide really, I'm running a superstar bb mount one.

Was going to leave my old mech on and see how it goes, got a clutch mech so hoping that'll help.

If you've got a clutch mech you could always try the wiggly toothed works components chainring and not run mech/guide up front? I haven't tried one yet but I'm going to get one shortly and see if it actually works.

Just ordered the on-one ring. We'll see how it goes, would like to remove the mech too really but I'll try that first.
