Growing children has led to some bicycle reallocation in the ape family, and Mrs Ape may be taking over my trusty old Kona hardtail.
So, researching potential replacements, is this a good deal? I like simple and fancy trying a rigid 29er, but need gears around here really to make the most of the countryside. Seems ok, even for a grand if I miss the discount. I'm not really up to date with what components are good and what aren't, but this stuff is all ok isn't it?
Any thoughts?
Oh, are there any issues with carbon forks for the big boned (18st ish)?
I've heard good things about the 29er scandal.
There is a new frame coming out soon with swapouts though for converting to SS. But it might be more than £899 when it does.
18st is the cut off for carbon...
Ok, any similar alternatives?
