... too racy for general trail and bikepacking?
(I don't understand this new-fangled 29er geometry enuff!)
Can't see why - I thought you rated quick-handling bikes as faster anyway? 😛
Perfect for bikepacking I would have thought, I'd have one if they would hurry up and sort out the full bikes........

my scandal bikepacking. ace.
Please get one and spend as much time as possible winding up Brad and MD!
p.s. you coming tonight?
Not racy if you put loads of spacers under the stem and wide bars. I am certainly no racer and my ScandAL has been great for everything. It would do fine for touring stuff.

I bought one of the last versions from On One (frame and rigid carbon forks) in the summer and I'm getting Mark @ TBC to build it up, when I get the cash together. But that's exactly one of the things that I have in mind for it...
Cheers

Not at all too racey, however, I can only comment on trail riding.
I use mine as my winter bike/ ride out the drive and see where I get bike. Goes happily on a mixture of road, bridleway and singletrack. I think it will do fine.
