The missus picked one up when they were briefly reduced by some whopping amount a few months back and is really pleased with it. Rides nicely in a stable, dependable sort of way apparently. SRAM Rival brakes and gears good.Nice tyres as stock.  Seems well finished and a good all-round ride. Her main point of comparison is a Planet X XLS cross bike.

Downsides are that it's relatively heavy compared to a carbon-framed bike, so doesn't accelerate quite so snappily, but trucks on over stuff nicely once it is moving. I'm also a little dubious long term about the alloy nipples on the OEM Fulcrum wheels, but time will tell on that one.

It's too small for me or I'd have a better idea on how it rides, but it sounds a little like my old Soma Double Cross DC steel-framed cross-ish bike in that you lose a little initial zip, but gain a smoother ride compared to a lighter bike.

Weight for a small with pedals, bottle cages and an aftermarket saddle plus slightly lighter tyres is 23.5lb btw, 10.6kg, but I suspect if weight's a massive priority you won't be looking at a steel bike in the first place. Oh, it's also a really nice colour 🙂

I've had their MTB wheels and somehow they've survived a bit of a hammering. The only issue is a self inflicted one where my SS conversion kit is well and truly stuck onto the XD freehub. Annoying because I've got another set of wide rims earmarked for a 29+ SS build that the fulcrums certainly won't suit.
