Just for fun what was the cheapest you have seen a Whippet frame for sale for on on-one or PX's website?
I swear they were about £300 on pre-order or normally about £400, so now £800 for an old design, yes I do know how supply & demand works but it seems a lot for an OO product.
Just casually browsing for a lighter frame than my OO scandal mk1 & shocked at the recent price hikes, it seems china can offer a decent catalogue frame for a few hundred quid but there is nothing, even secondhand, that can get close in the uk?

Wait ten minutes, or until they have rebalanced their stock again and it will be back down again.

For an extra £200 you can have a whole bike. Sell the bits you don’t need and you’ll be back down to £450 😉

On-One pricing does seem to have got very ambitious- perhaps it’s the new owners?

I really think manufacturers are taking the piss out of the uk, recently looked for a Fuzua equipped HT & looked through the whole Fuzua catalogue, Leader fox have the Wako on the CZ website for the equivalent of £1500, swap to their normal European site & it's nearly 3000 euro's, someone is just creaming the profit for wealthy westerners, can't say I blame them though, the price is what someone is willing to pay, hence we have £10K push bikes in this country, doubt you would get away with it in the rest of the world.

Profits should rocket for them now they are making an extra 20% on orders to the EU.

PX frames shot up in price ~10 months ago, tempting ~£300 deals suddenly went north of ~£700+ and have remained there since.

20yrs On One have been in business now, and it's only now that their apparent "random" pricing structure has piqued your interest! 🤔

I can tell you one thing... It's anything but "random"...

They've been trousering the VAT on orders from the rest of the world for as long as they've been in business. Sonder and others seem to have taken advantage of the recent changes and are now doing the same.

I looked at a new Whippet for when my old one finally dies but it does seem surprisingly uncheap.

I’d rather have another 26” Whippet really, only all second-hand 26” suspension forks with a straight steerer are now buggered.

I love my Whippet. Even now. Bizarre, really.
