I'm a little worried. I've been putting my new bike together and tightened the front wheel up with one23 we skewer, but it barely threads in half way. The skewer seems a bit short. I tried my old hope one and it wasn't much better. So is it more down to the thickness of the forks.
Anyone else had similar issues and is it safe to ride.

Hmmm... not yet got that far with my newly-acquired 29er monocoque (just posted about an issue with the crown race platform being uneven), but I'll check it out tomorrow and let you know if it's the same.
