I see the frames are ready, anyone know when the full bikes will be ready, they are looking like just what i want.
Cheers
I popped into Planet X the weekend before last and threw a leg over the 18" prototype they had in the show room. I used to have a 20" 456 but the 18" Lurcher was a good fit and the size I will be buying (I'm 6ft2"). I was told the frames are arriving 20th March, I asked about complete builds and their man said they hadn't got a spec lined up.
You could wait for them to put together a package or just ask them to do a custom build around a Lurcher frame.
Just found out that On One don't do custom builds anymore so scratch that option.
Hi
I'm very keen on the 29er race but they are only available in 18"
I had a 20" 456 and sound a similar height to you, could you tell me what length your inside leg measurement and how long the stem was you tired on the lurcher prototype - I'm hoping I can fit on an 18 too
Hi Purplechair,
my inside leg with a book wedged up there is 34". I couldn't wait for the Lurcher frame, had a date with Snowdon, so I went with an 18" Inbred that I've been riding for the last three weeks. I can tell you that with 2.35 Scwalbe Hans Dampfs on the Hope Hoops I have just about 1/2 and inch of stand over clearance. I had the same experience in the show room with the Lurcher. On One's top tubes are pretty generous and I'm able to use a 60mm stem with the saddle pushed right back to the limit of it's rails.
This set up has been fine for climbing and great for techy rocky descents, looks a bit weird, the frame looks far away but the wheels seem very close. It got some odd looks at Ladybower at the Weekend.

At 5'9" with short legs and long torso, I'm wondering whether an 18" Lurcher would be too big. Any thoughts?
