A mate is trying to upgrade his On-One Inbred with a bit of bounce.
Slight problem in that its a 29er with a standard 1-1/8th steerer tube and hes got a QR front wheel.
Has anyone come across a set of forks that would suit?
Think the Inbred was designed around a 120mm fork?
Budget is £150-£200
I've tried suggesting that he should upgrade the frame, but he's stuck on keeping the Inbred.
you can get them I remember seeing Rockshox forks i think in 29inch and straight steerer from a German site someone had linked into this forum. That's all I can remember - maybe do a forum search.
I think you'll find that the Inbred 29er was happier around the 80 - 100mm suspension fork but happy to be corrected. IMHO 120mm would be a little chopper like. I ran mine at 90mm.
Reba Dual Air are a good call SH as they are easily serviceable and can have their travel changed by use of spacers usually between 80 & 115mm.
