Morning all,

Tempted by a Free Rnger and wondered how people find them for sizing?

I'm 5'11" which their guide suggests puts me atthe upper end of the Medium range but have fiund this to be subjective in the past with various bikes from from different makers.  While the obvious answer woud be to swing a leg over one, Sheffield is a bit of a trek from Kent so hoping to garner some insight from the populace.

I think their guide is a load of tosh, the trend seems to be to recommend everyone buy a tiny bike.

I'm 176cm (5'9") and ride a Large Free Ranger without any problems.

I think their guide recommended I get a small! I would have been bashing my knees on the handlebars with every pedal stroke.

Good to know and would suggest a large would be a better bet.

Finger hovers.....

I'm 181 and on a large. I definitely think that a medium would be a bit small.

Just remembered, I did swap the stem for an 80 mm one, which feels good to me. So I'd probably be kind of OK on a medium with a longer stem, but there'd be more toe overlap, and presumably lower stack. Only benefit to a medium might be a bit more seatpost showing, so maybe a touch more flex cushioning, depending on choice of post. I would choose large again without a doubt though.

5'10
Medium
Better for standover but I find the front a bit low. Short legs and arms, long body may affect my view.

I think I'd have been better on a large.

5'11" large with a 100mm Redshift stem is spot on for me.

175cm on a medium space chicken and it feels good - but I have long legs and a v short torso, so that’s bound to affect it vs garage dweller above!

I’m on a Dolan GXC which apart from the bb standard is essentially the same frame I believe - same as the Carbonda 696 / Bombtrack etc

Im 5’9 / 175cm and am on the 54cm / medium frame. 170mm cranks and a 90mm Deda stem. Fits really well. I’d say I’m longer of leg / shorter of torso and arms.

In terms of mtb (if it helps) I’m generally happy with anything from 450-465mm reach and use a 40-50mm stem.
