Could anyone advise me what I need to get please? Spec looks a bit vague on the website
I was told this one will fit but haven't actually tried it in the frame yet;

but if you google the one on the frame spec page it is a specific FSA model.
FSA C-40 no.42 is the one they recommend, it's the same one they fit to the road bikes and about £45 on the planet-x website.
But AFAIK it's the same as any other integrated headset (the standard was drawn up by campagnolo) so this might fit and be cheaper (it's cheaper though, so it's probably not stainless, and I'm guaranteeing nothing, but the spec looks the same).
[edit, what is is with me today and posting replies seconds too late?]
Cheers fellas - I've already got a Hope bottom half knocking around so just wanted the dia for the top.
Waswaswas - I'm the guy who got your wheels etc thanks again
cool 🙂
Do you want me to measure the top bearing diameter?
Would be a big help ta - waited so long for the frame I'm itching to get it built 👿
In fairness, it's the bottom race that takes the worst of the abuse both in terms of loads and mud/water, so I'd be tempted to buy the Ritchey or brand-x headsets, and swap the lower bearing for the hope one, keep the original one as a spare for when the hope one dies.
bearing says 5h24 7hx 41.8x30.2 45x45
I guess the 41.8/30.2 is the inner/outer bearing diameter, the 45x45 is the the angleof the top/bottom chamfers.

Yep, so you want IS42/28.6 which has a 42mm outer and fits onto a 28.6 steerer.
Cheers guys
