Hello,

Anyone got any direct comparable experience of these? I'm tempted by the weight of the Rocky Road, and suspect the frame will feel more lively, but wondered how the geometry plays out between the two and the fact the Bootzipper has been designed to be rigid. I've got a full sus beast, so this is for the local farm tracks and woods in North Fife.

Other suggestions welcomed. I'd have gone for a Stooge if they hadn't disappeared in 20mins.....

@nevertoomanybikes. From planet x I'd probably go for the whippet for what you describe. They do the rigid one for £999 from time to time. Full carbon whippets are very light and fast.

If you need wider tyres go for the scandal. It's also more trail focused. Lots of us on here have one and highly rare them.

If your into touring and bike packing go for the rocky road. Although it's titanium, it's straight gauge tubing (I think which is why it's cheaper) and the geometry is very xc which may be a good thing depending on what you want it for. But you won't see many full ti bikes at this price.

If you think steel is real go for the boot zipper, personally I don't and I value the weight of a bike over the "ride feel"  especially if the bike is well designed and has wide tyres but again, there's a lot of love on here for the boot zipper.

Which ever one you pick, just make sure you wait for the sale! Nothing worse buying something from px then 3 days later you get an email and it's been reduced. Just be patient
