Anyone have any experience of a Bootzipper run as single speed?
Been looking for a cheap build or even cheap frame to put something together but might just bite the bullet and get one on tick from On One.
Just want a rigid single speed for doing the school run and pooting along the sett valley trail with the kids but something I can also take for a quick trail blast.
Was looking at stuff I could potentially drop a flip flop hub on but can't see anything trail worthy that I can pay off monthly and the bikes on cyclescheme are crap.

Not mine, but there's a nice 'used' one on LFGSS at the moment: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/355932/

I've got one as a single speed (bought frame only and built up).

Goes pretty well to be honest! I've got an On One Doofer as a chain tensioner, but if I was to do it again I'd get one that pushes the chain upwards. I got a bit of slip at the beginning, but I think I've sorted it now (chain was a link too long).

I was actually thinking of putting my 1x11 Sram GX with gripshift on it, or I might end up selling it yet as I don't use it as much as I thought I would. It's an XL 😉

Would be perfect as I need an XL but sadly can't commit the outlay all at once so it will have to be a finance purchase if I do get one
