I'm really struggling to find some 20mm adapter cup/caps for my on-one adaptable hubs for a thru-axle setup. The person I bought the wheels from doesn't have the 20mm adapters, and I read on here that the nukeproof generator cups fit... they came today, and didn't.
They went in the gap, but there was about 2mm of play when mounted, and they aren't tight so would just fall off every time I took the axle out. I've had a look online, and the logo looks slightly different to the other adaptable hubs. Also these appear to have a CNC'd brake-disc surface whereas the newer ones seem to be completely anodised.
My questions are, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON???
Can I get adapters for these (I've as yet had no luck in the wanted forum)
and finally if I say Brant 3 times (Brant Brant Brant) I'm kind of hoping he'll appear to help like beetlejuice, but this could just be a rumour.
Any advice people? i'm also not opposed to trying to rebuild them onto another hub but understand it's going to get costly for new spokes, new hub and building etc. Plenty of pictures below for info

That is an incredibly old hub. At least eight or nine years old.
It was designed for a 9mm through axle or 20mm. To secure a fork better.
I think it was made by Joytech. I am pretty sure 15mm through axle didn't exist then.
I can't help sorry.
At least you've managed to shed some light on it cheers. I've still got the 9mm through axle at least, but I am struggling with the 20mm. Do you happen to know if joy tech might still keep weird cups for stuff like that? (I know most likely contact them, but so far you know the most about these!) I'm wondering just about getting the rims rebuilt onto hubs but as I'm a big northern cheapskate, trying to save a buck!
Cheers man!
I couldn't imagine they would. I don't have a part number any more.
Only way would be friendly local machinist
I ran one of these hubs in both 9mm and 20mm thru axle.
There are a few different years for the Nukeproof hubs what year did you order? From memory the cups I used were 2012. They do fit but as you have found out they dont stay in when taking the wheel out. You can use some thick grease to hold them in until the axle is in. They work fine once mounted.
They were Fire Eye end caps from CRC.
Just for info and anyone else who may need this... completely worked! I was a bit confused at first as I thought the end caps would completely replace the outside of the hub but see now they literally slot over the top for perfect spacing! Mine seem to have a rubber seal ring on the inside which actually holds them on too for an added bonus. Massive thank you to SV on that one! I'll buy you a beer next time you're in the midlands!
The hubs themselves are pretty easy to get into to change bearings so it would have been a damn shame to have to scrap them. Job done guys, thanks again!
