Always fancied another Ti hardtail since selling my Global some years ago. I've just been offered an On One 456 in titanium. It's the 27.5" wheeled version from approximately 2017.
My knowledge of mountain bikes is a bit out of date. I realise this won't have the latest boost spacing and the very latest geometry, but it does have bolt through dropouts, dropper post and 1x11.
What do you reckon? Suitable for Peak bashing and the odd trail centre? What might the "very nice condition" frame be worth? I know the original 456 Titaniums were highly regarded.
Thanks in advance
Can't help with value but I believe these frames were made by Van Nicholas.
If it's cheap enough I bet it'll ride real nice.
Back in the day the 26” was 10/10 apparently. Expect the later version would be cool.
I’ve heard the Carbon 26” version was a wonderful, classic piece of kit, and like an Alfa Romeo, everyone should’ve owned one.
Rumour has it there is one in the classifieds; but I wouldn’t know owt about that 😉
I've the steel 45650b (I've had two actually). It's great, I love it, modern enough in terms of angles to be capable, not too modern that you have to completely retrain your riding style. I'd bet the Ti version is an absolute corker, and if you don't want it, put the seller in touch with me, as I'd be keen!
Thanks,

I imagine that the 45650b Ti is a fairly rare beast, when I googled, very little came up. I don't recall these being a long-running model, suspect On One only did one batch, so there are probably only a few owners out there, and possibly hardly any at all on here?
I came across this archived page on the PX website (suggests there was also a Ti 29er - which I've never heard of before)
Quite a lot more about the original 456 Ti (so 26er wheels), which seem to be favourable.
Let us know how you get on. I've an On One Pickenflick (Ti cross/gravel bike) which I love, and would love a Ti HT to go with it. And seriously, if you do pass it up, put me and the seller in touch as I'd be interested ...
Came across this three year old thread about the 29er ...
