shit summer. Worked too much. Got nothing done on the bike. No weekends away.
BUT.... booked Antur Styniog for Saturday with the wean for the day. Planning to return in the evening for football Sunday.
BUT. football's been cancelled due to waterlogged pitches. But the weather's amazing. So we'll stay in Snowdonia Saturday night. Beer& pizza in the Bryn Tyrch.
And then do something else on Sunday..... Snowdon perhaps or some other uplift place.
And the weather forecast is nuts.... Absolutely nuts

Well that was a pretty good day... Very slow start as we were both knackered. He took a nasty fall on the ice on the first run which wasn't ideal, but he got back into it.
We got the first bus up and the last bus with a break for lunch. Maybe 11 runs or so. There was only one occasion where we had to wait for the bus to arrive. Apart from that it was straight on and then straight up.
Took us both a while to get going but had a go at s couple of the blacks. Ar Powder was just a nasty swamp but Black Powder was great. He walked a few bits the first run but nearly rode it all the second time. Need to get him some bigger wheels like his dad's. They just roll everything.

Alas on the second last run my rear sus was bottoming out. I pumped it up to 280 psi in the car park but it still binned.
Bloody shit Specialized frame design or shit Monarch shocks?. Still on the original chain, cassette etc on that bike but I've been through three bloody shocks. Including this one that is only 5 months old.
Anyway. So we came home. Good day out but not as good a weekend as hoped.

Glad you both enjoyed it. You must be having bad luck with the shocks. We are running Ohlins, Rockshox and Fox on ours and never had a problem yet, although we do have spares in the van. We dont use the Specialized valve that is supposed to set up sag as never managed to get them to work right.
