With the vast majority of us getting no tickets for the Olympic mountain bike events through the supposedly fair and transparent allocation system.
Is it fair that the government snapped up 1,020 tickets at a cost to US of over £40,000, without even going through the ballot!
blame all those mountain biking civil servants that wanted to go to the event. And for context it is only 8,000 tickets out of 8m of them.
I imagine the bulk of them are for ODA employees and other Govt civil servants. Even I dont get any freebie tickets and was on the team that bought the Olympic Village! 😉
Does fair really come into it? That's the way these international sports events work, isn't it?
