cast your mind back to when the world was 26" round.

i'm building up a 2010 Yeti Arc and am looking for some 100mm lightweight XC forks, amongst the options like magura Durin, SIDs and Pace XC40 i quite fancy some Fox as i have never had a pair but i cannot figure out from the 2010 period what their lightweight 100mm race model was so I can search for some. can anyone enlighten me?

I think back in 2010, there was only Float and Talas available in 32mm and 36mm with a variety of axle standards, but normally 15mm for the 32s and 20mm for the 36s.

I think the fancier versions were RLC which went down to RL and finally R.

There were also a variety of dampners such as FIT, Terralogic and so on.

I think the lightest race fork at that time was the DT Swiss XRC100s.

My 2010 Anthem came with F100RL forks, think they weigh 1.6-1.7kg

I think you'll find that something like a Reba is quite a lot less flexy than the Fox equivalents.

Really? My 2009 130mm Reveleltions weren't any more stiff than that the 2010 140mm Talas I had. Also, at 100mmm with a TA - will they really flex that much?

Those Revelations had 32mm stanchions, they were slightly beefier Rebas. I think the TALAS would have had 34mm. If light weight is the priority, you're looking at 32 mm Fox or Sids/Rebas from Rockshox.

Don't think Talas were ever 34? The 100mm Pace fork was the RC39.

Best fork I had pre the 35mm Pike, which changed the game was some DT Swiss. Ace forks, well worth looking out for and IMO better than the Fox 32, 36, Pace or RS Revs I had before them.

There were 34mm TALAS forks, but maybe not back in 2010.

Just avoid anything Fox with CTD, terrible dampers designed entirely so that fat accountants can ride over an acorn and feel like they're awesome because they used all the travel on their Ibis Mojo

With sids from around that time try and find a worldcup or team- you'll get the blackbox damper in those instead of the normal motion control, it's a really nice bit of kit. The RL isn't anything like as good.

+1 for Sid Worldcups. I had some, they were awesome and very, very light.

Yes, the 2009-2010 version was bad - plus there's a certain damper you can't get serviced. Check on TFTuned/Silverfish

I think you'll be very lucky to find fox forks of that age that are usable

The F100, also available as F80 and F120 can be differentiated from regular floats as the lowers have no webbing in the casting at the rear of the arch.
Iirc The F-series also had a slightly thinner guage stanchion than the floats too.
I've had NOS forks on kids builds, F100, dtswiss xrc's and magura durin sl.
I think the durin sl is lighter than the fox but much stiffer than the dt swiss.
The dtswiss were super looking forks but as a full sized human, I'd pass.
Unless you're trying to stay era correct, what about a 27.5 fox 32sc?
