Anybody able to identify what drag/disc brake brake might fit this hub - just got hold of an old tandem with exactly this hub on it & would like to add a drag brake if possible.

Interesting. Can't help but all the others I have seen have been screw on, same thread as as freewheel.

Yeh, I've seen the arai screw on drag brakes before & I guess there are others similar just can't see what this would fit. Planning on using the tandem for touring but would like something other than just vee brakes and all the current kit is in good nick & good quality so I'd quite like to keep it as original as possible & adding a disc, plus new hub etc is going to cost £££ 🙁

Never seen one like that. The tandem club has a facebook page and a website - maybe ask there. I vaguely remember something about a campag drum brake.

Is that spline deep enough to hold a brake? I can't see any lock ring thread either. Looks rather like what you see under the dust cover on an alfine hub - sure its not just for a dust cover?

What’s the hub ? Photo shows a campy qr but almost looks like a cartridge bearing. Suzue hub ?

The splines seem to be used for unthreading the bearing seat (bigger image) - probably the body is identical to the non-tandem hubs and that bit is used to make it wider.
