Just a ball park figure. Just watched a bit of the tour from around 1976 and was arguing with a friend about the weight if the bikes.

So what were knocking around at then.? I would say about 25lb.

A decent weight for a tourer was 25lbs. top level race bikes would have been lighter

an article in one of the bike mags a few years back- possibly as long ago as 2005- suggested 21-23lbs.

My Raleigh clubman weighed about 23Lb when built in 88. 531 frame (but just a chromo fork), Shimano 105 groupset, Mavic MA40's on 105 hubs, Cinelli bar and stem, Rolls saddle but a no name alloy seat pin. So I would imagine a 753 frame with Dura Ace kit could be sub 20Lbs.

I think my 60s Flying Scot is just over 20lbs.
