So....Bought a very nice Spot Brand 26" wheel ss frame off here recently.  I'm now trying to figure out what to do with it...  It came with a nice ss rear wheel with Dicta freewheel, plus Avid Ultimate Ti rear v brake so off to a good start.

The frame only takes a v brake, so looking at what I have in the garage, came up with:

Exotic carbon rigid forks.

110mm Thomson 25.4mm stem.

Nitto touring drop bars.

Tektro RL 520 brake levers.

Old Shimano M730 XT crank arms.

Shimano mechanical disc brake caliper.

Mavic 717 disc rim on XT front hub.

Pair of 1.95" Kenda Small Block 8's.

Thinking it will build up into a nice bike for pottering around....

Can anyone inspire me with their similar mongrel bikes?

Thanks.

Another nice but old (1997) SS frame. A bit of a mongrel build, but it flies 🙂 even got a couple of KOMs and PRs today on it. I got around the lack of rear disc by building up a drum brake wheel. Works surprisingly well.

Indy Fab SS Deluxe, Maverick SC32 forks, Middleburn RS7s, Sturmey Archer rear drum brake SS hub + a load of other random bits!

Not my garden BTW 😉
