You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I've got a set of old man mountain pioneer racks (front and rear) that I run on my inbred. I can get them to fit but I've never been overly happy with the fit on the rear rack. It's an axle mounting so the rack sits on the outsides of the dropouts and then you clamp it on with an oversized QR skewer. I find the dropouts are almost too wide for it, I have to splay the rack out a bit to get it over the frame, then I need to clamp the skewer up quite tight to force the rack to sit flat against the drop-outs. I'm worried this isn't very good for the hub (Hope XC). Anyone else had similar problems? Am I doing it wrong or is that just the way it is? I can't really see any other configuration being possible.
Thanks
