I've got an elderly Fox Float 32 RLC (not sure of the exact year, but it's got a 1.125" steerer and is for 26" wheels, so it's essentially from the Time Of The Dinosaurs), and it seems to have stopped applying any rebound damping.

This manifests as (obviously) no rebound damping, and a fairly harsh THUNK when topping out after a large-ish compression.

The red rebound knob turns OK, and makes a "click" as it does so. If I keep turning it one way or the other it eventually hits the stops after a dozen or so clicks. Having taken the knob off and reattached it I'm fairly sure it's mating to the underlying shaft properly.

Any ideas on what might be awry?
