hi all thought i'd ask here as the font of all knowledgeÂ
i have several pairs of flat pedal shoe that have worn out in the pedal pin area but are still serviceable as shoes suggestions as to what to do with them ?
cheers in advanceÂ
Glue a safety pin to the back, and wear one as a massive broach.Â

Maybe if the holes in the worn-out area are large enough, they'd make fine earings?
I don't know. I've wanted to find more life for some otherwise decent 510 in the past, but was put off from re-soling due to price, but more, lack of availability. Seems a niche market.
I have some Giros in the same state. Virtually all the contact area has gone but the rest of the shoe is fine. I keep thinking, one more ride but I am going to have to bin them soon. I might just keep them for gardening!
They make great DIY shoes. Grip up a ladder is priceless.
Get them resoled? There are cobblers who can put a sticky Vibram sole on them.
+1 for resoling. Lancashire Sports Repair replaced the dotty Stealth soles on an old pair of Five Tens for me a while back. It's unfortunately not much cheaper than buying new ones in a sale but it's one less pair in landfill.
I've an old pair of 5:10 Impact Pro VXi that are on their 3rd sole.
Having said that, it's much harder to justify since the likes of Evans knock them out so cheaply.
