I sold a set of 07 (or thereabouts) Boxxer Teams a few months back and the chap that bought them is having some bother now, just wondered if anyone can offer any advice as I'd like to help him if I can...

They were working fine but now have developed a leak from the bottom bolt of the damper side, and also the rebound adjuster has stopped having any noticable effect. But, the damping is still OK, just not adjustable- i thought maybe the damper had lost its oil but apparently not.

googling suggests maybe a cracked damper rod but I'm no expert on these forks, can't visualise anything else to cause it.

Plastic jobbie in the base adjusted with 3mm hex adjuster innit?

If so They are a little prone to rounding out from my experience if the new owner got a bit frustrated/enthusiastic with a hex key he could have holed the base of the damper perhaps?? Or maybe damaged the o-ring at the foot but if he's lucky....

YGM rob!

It's got the same style of red ano adjuster as most modern Rockshox and freakishly it hadn't fallen out, so hopefully not too much muscle's been applied there...
