Alright chaps,
If you reduce the travel in your fork, do you need to reduce the amount of oil in the lowers to account for the additional volume the stanchions will take up when static?
And if so.... any idea how much by? Only realised this after reducing the travel and not realizing full travel...
Cheers
Ricks
Without knowing what make and model of fork you have it's hard to advise.
For most Fox and Rockshox the oil volume would probably remain the same but for Marzocchi its more likely that the volume of oil needed would be less.
Do you know what make and model fork you have?
Still going to be the same volume at bottom out isn't it? If sealed damper then leave it the same, if open bath you could possibly get away with changing the damping oil volume to tune the ramp up. (You can do that with marzocchi (within limits) anyway as a tuning tool for ramp up)
No Ricks, use the same amount in those forks 😉
LoCo knows the score.
More time riding, less time fettling now. Win-Win.
