Yes it is, but with a difference. I've been suffering a great deal of pain recently, mostly in the back and neck, but it's also been in my hands/finger for some time and is getting worse very quickly. I had some blood tests some time ago and was called into my doctors this morning for the results and a medical review. I'm on a statin and apart from osteo arthitis that I inherited from my mother, I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. The effects of taking the statin are very similar to the sympstoms of fibromyalgia, so I asked the doctor if this could be that case, he agreed with me and has ordered me to have fasting blood tests in the morning. He is a very keen cyclist and if the results are what he thinks, he reckons if I want to keep cycling, the best thing to do, would be to swap over to electric changing, lessening the effort of using the hands and making life easier.
Becasue of the arthritis and the lack of muscle tissue, I always use a bike with lower gearing and a triple on the front, can the Shimano Di2 or SRAM equivalent be made to work on a triple, does anyone make something with a triple already installed and finally, how much could this cost me?
I'm not well off by any means and can no longer work, so funds are not easy to come by, but I could get something on an interest free credit card and if it's not paid off within the no interest zone, I could transfer to another card.
Any suggestion would be gratefully recieved.
Alan.
You certainly can run a triple with XTR Di2 (assuming you're on about a mountain bike).

In theory it makes it even easier on your hands by shifting the front mech for you automatically.
If you're on about a road bike, according to this link if you have XTR Di2 mechs front and rear you can use Ultegra shifters (but you can't use an XTR front mech and an Ultegra rear)-

Another option for flat bars might be Archer Component's D1x wireless shifters, which will let you run whichever mechanical mechs you want to get a system that suits your needs. If you're after the ease of maintenance and amazing shifting of electronic gears it's not the right thing, but your unusual situation actually sounds like it'd be ideal. You could even fit this to your existing bike by only changing the shifters, so it's the cheapest option.

Sorry, I should have mentioned, road bike.
