Thanks for that whoever you are One of the wheel holders of my bike rack has been. ' recycled' off the back of my van on the driveway.
Can anyone get hold of a section of 12 x 16mm steel I can replace it with?
I'll ask a couple of my customer. How long/Hollow or solid?
30 cm tops 2.5 3mm thick. so annoyed, torq bolts from now on.
I'll ask at work on monday. Lots of my customers are metal fabricators. Will slightly bigger or smaller work?
Pehaps, It slides inside the frame and holds a wheel. Might be close, smaller better than bigger if possible.
Any news Mr. Slug?
Ok.. think you might struggle with this one. One guy thinks he might have some 1/2" x 3/4" but nothing smaller than that. He's gonna get back to me in morning when he finsihes on site. Got a couple looking thru their stores. Here I've got a solid bar 26 x 12.5. A solid flat strip 12mm x 5mm, Could you bond 3 pieces of that together? Would make 12 x 15mm. Also some brass tube 40mm x 20mm ext and 36mm x 16mm int.
Thanks for going to so much trouble, I knew this wouldn't be simple. Oh well. I'll have to formulate a plan over the weekend, thought about three flats of steel jointed together would do the job.
Thanks for doing all the looking. If they come up with anything i'd be delighted. Otherwise thanks very much for trying.
