It may well be a good bike, but...
Loved the look of the old one, now this 😪

I’ll never understand the “looks like it’s been in an accident” bent top tubes some manufacturers keep returning to.
I'm still loving my 2014 foxy, I don't enjoy the bent top tube. I think it's the only part of the bike I don't like.
Yep, and I'm sure the pivot could have moved slightly (I'm obviously no kinematics engineer) to accommodate a straight line from the top tube to the seat stays
Something doesn't look right, it looks like you'd need very short legs to fit on that.

Tbh, I don't even search any more, because...STW
They're being crucified in all the comment sections.
I wanted to like it but I'm struggling. I'm sure it'll ride like a weapon but it looks like a Haibike.
Just for contrast, since I'm an existing happy customer...

They got so much right the first time around.
Original isn't exactly a looker
I'm not married to it but I think in the context of modern, alloy 29ers it's pretty good. It's certainly more purposeful than pretty but I've always preferred that approach.
I was hoping the new one would be slimmer and more refined and maybe shed a little weight.
Original isn’t exactly a looker
The original 161 and 141 looked great IMO and were ahead of the curve (no pun intended) on the current trend to return to straight TTs.
If they'd managed to lose a bit of weight, keep that look and keep it as a budget alternative to a Raaw - they'd be laughing all the way to the Leeds.
but it looks like a Haibike.
Ouch! Harsh but fair. The OG 161 looked good in a function over form way, the new one looks like the old one was raped by Quasimodo.
