Just because I’ve flounced off to paint my house doesn’t mean that it is all over. ..

Terrahawk and Co. will be back in February for another slice of mud and guts MTB/CX awesomeness.

Expect all the usual nonsense including quality catering, abusive marshals (that’ll be my job), slick organisation, friendly banter, an awesome course including some of the old favourites such as “The Massively Steep Hill“, “Rooley’s Chin” and “Winkie’s Wipeout” and new for 2011… THE GREAT BIG TREE OF PAIN!

the tree of pain might need a minimum height requirement, like at Alton Towers.

Surely you could just use a ladder for short-arses.

that 3'23 crash - love the way they look back accusingly at the road for jumping out from under their front wheel at the wrong moment 🙂

entry will open in a week, maybe a week and a bit. When it does I'll email previous [s]victims[/s] participants and post some stuff on teh internetz
I need to get permission from landowners, the council, etc yet. There won't be a problem but obviously I need that sorted before I start taking money off folk.
Incidentally, all profits again go to charidees, including a local nursery school who are providing marshals in return. Hopefully they won't be sending toddlers.

The format will be the traditional 2 hour HTN Winter Sprint job. Shorter course than the summer one and 'only' 2 hours.

Need to sort out the musical turns. I'm still very fond of brass, meself.

Oooh, I do like a nice brass band. I know someone in a steel band if that's a nice change for you?

A steel band would be great, however in my experience they've always been a bit on the expensive side...

You should try BBBs trick of paying bands in beer vouchers. Much cheaper.

How much is entry?

You could always book the losers from the X factor, they will all be glad of a gig after getting booted off, and there will be a $h1t load of them to choose from.

in fairness, beer vouchers aren't everyone's cup of tea and we're not having a bar at a 2 hour race on a Saturday morning 😉

Entry fee will be about 12 quid hopefully.

2 hours ?
It's a long way to Manchester for a 2 hour race.
Maybe I'm not in after all. 😕
Hope it goes well anyway.

we always do a shorter 'sprint' HTN in winter Graham.
One lad regularly travels over from Ireland to do it. Some folk even come over from Halifax an' that.

Will your pass allow you to come home steaming drunk after the after race session again? 😉

as the firstborn EdHornby junior will be about 3 months old by this point, rolling in from the pub when leathered would be an epic fail

I have the pass out on strict instruction to be home uninjured afterwards

So little Ed was manufactured around the time of the last WInter Sprinter eh? Good work!

When I used to come home steaming my missus made me sleep on the sofa.
