Just because I’ve flounced off to paint my house doesn’t mean that it is all over. ..
Terrahawk and Co. will be back in February for another slice of mud and guts MTB/CX awesomeness.
Expect all the usual nonsense including quality catering, abusive marshals (that’ll be my job), slick organisation, friendly banter, an awesome course including some of the old favourites such as “The Massively Steep Hill“, “Rooley’s Chin” and “Winkie’s Wipeout” and new for 2011… THE GREAT BIG TREE OF PAIN!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
😀
3'23 piss funny 😆
the tree of pain might need a minimum height requirement, like at Alton Towers.
I'm in.
Is it 8 hours again, like the last HtN ?
2 hours.
Sounds fun
can I enter yet? Defo doing this having not been able to make the last couple! Going in the diary now 🙂
that 3'23 crash - love the way they look back accusingly at the road for jumping out from under their front wheel at the wrong moment 🙂
whoop!
entry will open in a week, maybe a week and a bit. When it does I'll email previous [s]victims[/s] participants and post some stuff on teh internetz
I need to get permission from landowners, the council, etc yet. There won't be a problem but obviously I need that sorted before I start taking money off folk.
Incidentally, all profits again go to charidees, including a local nursery school who are providing marshals in return. Hopefully they won't be sending toddlers.
The format will be the traditional 2 hour HTN Winter Sprint job. Shorter course than the summer one and 'only' 2 hours.
Need to sort out the musical turns. I'm still very fond of brass, meself.
Don't think I'll be able to make this 🙁

Oooh, I do like a nice brass band. I know someone in a steel band if that's a nice change for you?
A steel band would be great, however in my experience they've always been a bit on the expensive side...
You should try BBBs trick of paying bands in beer vouchers. Much cheaper.
How much is entry?
You could always book the losers from the X factor, they will all be glad of a gig after getting booted off, and there will be a $h1t load of them to choose from.

in fairness, beer vouchers aren't everyone's cup of tea and we're not having a bar at a 2 hour race on a Saturday morning 😉
Entry fee will be about 12 quid hopefully.
No bar?!?
Maybe I won't drive up from Southampton then 🙁

2 hour race on a Saturday morning
Plenty of time to go into That Manchester afterwards for a session 🙂
That's a nice video...
Seems like a looong time ago.
My boss is a member of a brass band, could have a word if you like.
hopefully i will be fit enought to partake.........or marshall if needed.
ton - you're always welcome at HTN mate. Racing or otherwise.
wors - if you could have a word re the brass band, that'd be ace.
drop me a line (or get him to) - jasonm AT jmc.it
Nice one all.
P.S. if there's a big summer HTN, there will be a bar.
Can't wait. Should we start the tyre choice thread now?
2 hours ?
It's a long way to Manchester for a 2 hour race.
Maybe I'm not in after all. 😕
Hope it goes well anyway.

Quality not quantity...
we always do a shorter 'sprint' HTN in winter Graham.
One lad regularly travels over from Ireland to do it. Some folk even come over from Halifax an' that.
I am applying for my pass as we speak, I'll come and help with the marking out as well if you need assistance
good lad

Will your pass allow you to come home steaming drunk after the after race session again? 😉
on it like a rat on cheese.

as the firstborn EdHornby junior will be about 3 months old by this point, rolling in from the pub when leathered would be an epic fail
I have the pass out on strict instruction to be home uninjured afterwards
So little Ed was manufactured around the time of the last WInter Sprinter eh? Good work!
When I used to come home steaming my missus made me sleep on the sofa.
ygm re brass band
