Hi there,
I'm planning a trial of a drop bar set-up with my Ogre with Rohloff, which I currently run with 2" spesh captain tyres. A mate of mine, a certain Mr. Sanny, has recommended some wood-chippper bars and I was thinking about the Gilles Berthoud Twister - but I'm open to any permutation, just want it to work and preferably look pleasing to the eye!
Advice, experience and pics on making this transition are welcome
This has come up a couple of times recently.
Here's one thread;

I'm sure there was another one where someone mentioned drop bars that split in the middle to allow a twist grip to be fitted, but I can't find it now.
That's great. Thanks for the links. I'm going to go budget and use the thorn adapter with my current original shifter and try the midge bar for now and take it from there. Agree with ton in the other post about old school away from the bar shifting - why not
