Why do you carry a water bottle round your waist when you've got bottle cage mounts [b]and[/b] a rack on your bike?
Ah - It's just more convenient. I have a tube, levers, pump, multitool, lightweight jacket etc. in the bumbag so I can just grab it and ride regardless of which bike I choose to go out on.
I don't really like water bottles in cages off-road where there is sheep-, cow- and, especially, dog-shit around.
I find that dogshite tends to splatter outwards when i run over it on a fatty.
Over my legs rather than the frame mounted water bottle. 😐
