I have lived in South Wales for nigh on 14 years, and never been.
Tomorrow morning, the drought ends.
I predict a good ride and good company, but an agonising early morning alarm.
agonising early morning alarm
no need for that; try super furry animals instead ? Or GLC ?
have a great day
South Wales ranger posted on FB yesterday that they'd finally got to cwmcarn and the snow was really lingering and he recommended everyone should take mega care who is going. He implied fair few trees down at Afan too so just watch out.
I’ll see you there!
Bob (the Ranger) reported earlier trees all clear, just potentially a couple of patches of slush.
I’ll see you there!
molgrips is giving me a lift, and I assumed the three of us were going together. If not, then yes indeed, I'll see you there!
Tomorrow morning, the drought ends.
You're not wrong there. Have a good time.
It's going to piss down.
It didn't piss down!
Had a cracking ride, thoroughly enjoyed the company. Interesting how Penhydd being pretty old seems differently designed than more modern trails for modern bikes.

I rode it last week on a 150mm bike, first time I’ve been up there for a while. The main thing I noticed is how rough it all is, even on a good fs bike. Not something I’ve noticed anywhere else, natural or trail centre. It doesn’t feel anything like it did originally and Dead Sheep Gully is hard work these days compared to the flowy trail it used to be. Not sure I like it much anymore, but Bluescar is great fun.

Yeah actually - it was rough, I thought it was my fork setup... Also loads of pedal strikes. Trying to pedal through stuff like Sidewinder was hard.
