Pulling the pieces together for LMTTM Jnrs next bike.

As a tall 7 year old I've gone with a 14'' (26'' wheeled) frame and a set of SIDs but thinking of going middle ground 24'' wheels for a while.

Has anyone gone with a decent off the peg set of 24'' wheels - thinking QR both ends.

Not looking super flash but better than bolted axles etc.

All help much appreciated.

M

Superstar wheels are £280 a pair.

I bought a pair of Condor 24" rims (£20 each), Deore hubs (£15 quid!), and paid my LBS to lace them.  Some faff, a little heavier (Condor 24" rims are 460g each, the Superstar 26" rims are 404g so the 24" will be around 390g I guess), but a lot cheaper.

Cheers Ross.

My Google fu had completely missed those from my searches. I have hubs already ..... look to be an option.

Thank you.

rossburton, I've been following with interest and I intend to copy your idea and use Condor rims and Deore hubs, have you any idea what length spokes I need? I've never built a wheel but this seems like a good place to start 🙂
