Not looking for anyone to divulge secret trails to me (unless you want to) but can any locals give me a heads up as to the best place to park at the forest of Deane to find them . Cheers boys and girls

It completely depends where you want to ride! It’s a bloody big area with riding just about everywhere you look! I seem to get in trouble for sharing off piste stuff, so I won’t...publicly (happy for some tips if you drop me a PM)

A lot of people park at Parkend by the Fountain Inn.

Really need to know what trails you are planning on riding so we can suggest the optimum parking spots.

Parkend on the grass to the west of the Fountain Inn is as good a place as any. And has the benefit of the brilliant cafe and bike shop 100m away for post ride sustenance.

The Fod covers around 100 square kilometres- give us a clue which bit your interested in.

Just park in the middle, then in any direction you will find great trails.

Cheers boys think I have all the info I need now ,going to go down for a wknd and cover as much as I can ,parkend seems to be central to everything so will base myself there

In that case if you want to save the £7.a day parking we normally park at Cannop ponds .

Depends how far you want to ride??I park at Beechinghurst for Mallards pike or the Dowies/shutcastle or Worcester Lodge.
