6 of the 23 contenders are cyclists (7 if you include Brownlee)

I think Andy Murray had it right - they should do away with the individual category this year. I think it's particularly unfair on those not connected with the Olympics

So long as they're not all in hospital

multi contenders from same sport splits the vote and favours other sports (think this has affected golf before). It should be Wiggins but I think someone more mainstream and non-cycling will beat him.

murray won gold at the olympics, o.k. got his first grand slam but nothing compared to wiggo's year. Wiggo is even trying the sympathy/media vote 🙂

Talking sense considering he has the best chance ever to win unless he wins wimby.

Should be two awards one for personality and one for achievement.

Andy Murray or Mo Farah will get it. No doubts.

I think Murry will only get it if he wins Wimbledon .........

Bit like Brad winning TDF .............so Brad should get it .....but bearing in mind Cav got it last year ......I think people will prob vote differently because of that .....

Farah or Ennis.
Mainstream means more than actual success.

Andy Murray is a great sportsman but he doesn't have a personality, let alone the best one of the year.

I'm going for Ennis, on the grounds that she has less penises than the other main contenders.
