Looning for new BB and see that there are std and E type ones available, need a 73mm / 121 accoprding to label on existing, but how do I know if it should be an E type?

Unless you have a funny shape full suss you probably don't need an E type

You only need an E type if you have an E type front mech. E type mechs attach to the BB rather than the frame. So if your front mech is attached to the seat tube you need a standard BB. IIRC you can't use an etype bb without the mech unless you have some sort of spacer.

I have an E type on my SS and no front mech (obviously as its an SS). No problems what so ever. I think most XT BBs were E type.
